Rep. Frank Pallone, who has served in the U.S. Congress representing New Jersey’s 6th district since 1988, shared his views on recent policy considerations via social media. Pallone, a seasoned politician with a background in law, expressed his concerns about potential policy changes that could affect drug prices and congressional powers.

On April 9, 2025, Rep. Pallone tweeted his disapproval of former President Trump's proposed tariff on medicine. He noted how detrimental this could be, especially for Medicare beneficiaries who are currently seeing savings due to the Inflation Reduction Act: "For years, I fought with @HouseDemocrats to lower prescription drug costs. Now, just as millions on Medicare are seeing savings from the Inflation Reduction Act, Trump is considering a reckless tariff on medicine that will drive prices back up. When will Republicans call this".

Later the same day, Pallone criticized Republican inaction regarding economic policies attributed to Donald Trump, and expressed his concern about Republicans potentially obstructing Congress's ability to counteract Trump's trade measures: "Not only are Republicans doing nothing while Donald Trump destroys our economy, they are today trying to block Congress's Constitutional power to stop Trump's trade chaos in any way until September 30. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Republicans declare Trump a king soon."
