On April 19, 2025, Pallone expressed his apprehensions regarding the political atmosphere under President Trump's second term, describing it as characterized by "fear, retaliation, and silence." "We are all afraid." He equated a statement by a U.S. Senator to that of a dissident in a dictatorship, suggesting that the situation should be alarming to all Americans.

The following day, on April 20, 2025, he offered a message of festivity, wishing individuals celebrating Easter in New Jersey and worldwide a hopeful day filled with new beginnings and cherished moments. "Happy Easter to everyone celebrating in New Jersey and around the world!"

Later the same day, Pallone criticized the Republican Party's governance, accusing them of lacking oversight and accountability. He condemned their choice to commend Trump’s deportation policies while simultaneously obstructing Democratic efforts to investigate these policies. "When Republicans control every branch of government, this is what you get: no oversight, no accountability, and no interest in the truth."
